Our project aims to infuse science with the arts and humanities, utilising Philosophy for Children (P4C) and Storytelling to develop a growth mindset and critical thinking. By establishing an emotional connection with women leaders in computer science and cybersecurity, we will provide role models who ignite ambition in girls.

The Cyberwise Shared Learning Day was a comprehensive educational event focused on the intersection of cybersecurity and Global Citizenship Education (GCE). Held in April 2024, the day featured a variety of engaging activities, including a Zero
Days Capture the Flag challenge, where participants tackled real-world cyber and GCE issues.

For two years, we have the pleasure of showcasing the work of our talented students who create digital stories that reflect their unique perspectives and creativity. The Digi Stories initiative has enabled teachers to try something new, something different and something unique in their classrooms, to tell a tale.

FIRST LEGO League is a global competition with three divisions for different age groups: DiscoverExplore, and Challenge. In Ireland, the Challenge division is open to children in Sixth Class to Transition Year.

UCD School of Education and College of Science in association with Professional Development Service for Teachers (PDST) hosted the EDI in STEM Shared Learning Day with the theme of ‘Look See What I Can Be’ on Wednesday 1st June 2022 in the O’Brien Centre for Science, UCD.

The Adventures in Cyberland Awards are funded by Our Public Service Innovation Fund as part of the Cyber Resilience Education in Primary and Post-Primary Schools initiative led by UCD School of Education. The competition was organised as part of EU cybersecurity month

The Challenge-Based Learning Day, held in October 2023, immersed students in the critical societal issue of cybersecurity and its connection to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This event aimed to deepen student’s; understanding of cybersecurity’s impact on various aspects of life and its essential role in achieving sustainable development.
